Backflow Pro Support
Backflow Pro is the field app for certified backflow testers: guided RP, DC, PVB, SVB, RPDA and DCDA tests with instant pass or fail, signatures on the screen and the report PDF sent before you leave.
Which pass/fail limits does it use?
USC Manual of Cross-Connection Control, 10th edition, by default: RP relief valve opens at 2.0 psid or more; RP check #1 at 5.0 psid or more and above the relief valve opening point; RP check #2 1.0 psid; each DC check 1.0 psid; PVB and SVB air inlet opens fully at 1.0 psid and the check holds 1.0 psid. If your purveyor or state uses other values, change them in Settings › Pass/fail limits. You can also override a result with a reason, which prints on the report.
The report is blocked
Reports need a current gauge calibration. When the calibration date is more than a year old, recalibrate the gauge and update the date in Settings › Gauge. You are reminded 30 days ahead.
My purveyor wants its own portal
Some purveyors (BSI Online, Tokay, VEPO) require reports in their portal. Backflow Pro makes the PDF and keeps the confirmation number: upload the PDF from File report › Save or share the PDF, then paste the confirmation number. The filing fee is added to the invoice line.
Working offline
Everything works without signal: tests, signatures and PDFs are made on the phone. Emails wait in the email app's outbox and sync runs when you are back online.
Backup and a second device
Sign in with Apple or Google in Settings to back up your data and use it on your phone and tablet.
Subscription
7 days free, then $24.99 a month or $199 a year. Cancel any time in Settings › Subscription (it opens the App Store or Google Play subscriptions page). If you cancel, your reports stay readable and exportable. Restore a subscription in Settings › Restore purchases.
